I have used different burning programs, to no avail. "Which CD or DVD format should I use?" this information is known, however, I never use the UDF format. "Format a CD or DVD" resulted in the write-protected message. Both quick erase and thorough erase were completed, but still unable to be written on my W7 desktop machine. The DVD+RW in the burner was erased on my laptop. "Burn a CD or DVD in WMP" keeps asking for an empty DVD. I tried erasing several brands of DVD+RW which have been used before. The DVD+RW is reported to be write-protected.
